Baker Purdon has been invited to present at numerous conferences throughout the United States and is actively developing multiple research studies focusing on the Imposter Phenomenon in various aspects of music education.
Current research projects include the Adolescent Choral Imposter Phenomenon Scale (ACIPS), the release of an album funded by the Presser Foundation's 2022 Graduate Music Award titled We Shall Walk Through the Valley: Choral Music from Black Composers 1920-2022, and exploratory research on ABDEI in Choral Conducting and Music Education.
